We intended to anchor in the approach to the harbour at Puerto Colonnia de Sant Jordi, but the town looked touristy and the pilot talked a lot about incoming ferries or glass bottomed boats and the beach just to the north of the town looked very attractive. In the end we went a little further north to a sheltered spot with two other yachts. another half mile north there were many yachts at anchor off one of the most popular beaches in Mallorca, but our spot was quiet. We were lucky to have a quiet night, with out anchor holding well in about 3 metres over sand. The beach is open to the west and we had a wonderful sunset. An early start in the morning and we reached Porto Cristo by lunchtime. T
