An afternoon passage from Santa Pola to Villajoyosa, 3 hours motoring and 3 hours sailing. From here we can do a 15 hour passage to Formentera when the winds are fair, which we hope they will be the day after tomorrow. Tomorrow we expect rain, and will batten down the hatches and read, write diaries, and catch up with emails. The surprise here is how inexpensive it is in Club Nautica. And how friendly the staff. The mountains are a dramatic sight: as you approach a double peaked colossus dominated the skyline just above the town, a huge piece missing from, a bite out of, the summit, rather like the Breche de Roland, in this case the result of a giant's kick. The rock landed in the sea where it forms an island, clearly visible of the point, just the other side of Benidorm. T
