Thursday 16^th July 2015 – Game Over

This morning we saw the specialist in Whangarei to discover what the PET CT scan on Tuesday had revealed.  The answer is “Quite a lot and none of it good news”.  The cancer has spread widely enough to mean that surgery is not an option and it is almost certainly incurable.  Some sort of chemotherapy might slow things down a bit but more investigation is now required to sort out what might help.

Our visas expire on 27^th July and there is little hope that NZ Immigration would consider extending them for a serious medical problem.  So, we’ve got to fly back to the UK by then.  Meanwhile we need to work out some way of getting Arnamentia home so she can be sold.

So, it’s all a bit of a bummer really.
