Soon after the sun rose – which is quite late in these parts, Jon & Carol and Chris & Penny Copeland tied up Arnamentia in Porto Santo marina having had an uneventful passage from Lagos of about 450nm lasting just over two and a half days. Original plans to sail to the island of Madeira were thwarted by an advised lack of space in the marina there. The island of Porto Santo has a dramatic outline, is very peaceful and has a stunning beach.
