20^th April  Cartagena Landfall

We’ve safely arrived on another continent!  Having left Bonaire late morning on 17th April, we dropped anchor in the large harbour at Cartagena, Columbia almost exactly three days later after a fast, but pretty rolly passage of 540 miles.  The wind was dead aft and Force 5-6 most of the way.  So we made most of the journey under full mainsail and boomed out foresail.  Initial impressions are of a pleasant place but of many contrasts – not least the two marinas -  more to follow when we’ve done the tourist bit!
