                |  UTC 0747 Local time  -- seems to be 0848...
Porto,  or actually -- Leixoes Port /
Marina.   So, we moved a bit more South, following the coast,
and entered Portugal. It was a long day. With a bit of everythnig --
-- sailing, in a light  conditions,  with
a good wind  on  back quarlter; -- motor sailing; -- and sailing again... -- a lot of  dolphins; -- a lot of fishing nets... All and all -- it took more then 12 hours to make
the passage.  The biggest fun of it -- we werle sailing together with
another boat,  and I got  some experience how we are doing in
comparisson with the other boat... Arrived late at the evening,  a bit tired
after the day on the water...  Nice, should be easy to anchor place, in
front of the Marina... And for reason I still do not understand fully -- I
can not anchor -- eithre the anchor does not want to grab and to hold, or in
result -- the wind change a bit, and I misjudge the place, too close to other
boat... or both... In short -- embarasment and frustration  which I still
have to recover from! ;-)     But then -- we are on anchor, in 35-37 ft of water
( when the tide is high),  I had a long sleep, a good coffe in the
morning... And a new day, full of challenges ahead!
One of them -- to find out what happened to my UK
Vodafone Internet, which they promised should work nicely here! And then to have a real Internet. We are good. Talk to you later, M. |
