To degree, it is a milestone.
1. We officially out of the 'hole' -- the area, said by cruisers that you could follow only clockwise via Caribbean coast...
2. From the point where I'm now... St. Martin or Grenada -- and islands between are accessible. Before the trip I was not sure if I be able to continue Estern Carribbian -- based on stories about wind, currents, etc.
I'm committed to continue. Still with the plan to reach Grenada...
There are some changes too...
We are presently exploiting the East - Sourth - East winds... Do not ask why there are ESE winds when the models say... ( Computer models says one thing, my instruments -- another, and Aruba Port Conrol and passing withing a few miles big ships -- the third... And it is up to you, whom you would like to belive... ;-) ) Personally, I like the models, prefer to believe into my instruments -- ~ 20 kts, and seems we are experiencing what the Big Ships see -- 25-30 kts...
My plan is to stay on that tack until the wind starts to change... It means, I may miss ABC alltogether, including BoineAir.. It means -- it would be no real Internet for a while...
For those, who wants to visit me in December. The latest I got -- some areas as St. Lucia are experiencisg now some security issues... So, double check the internet, and include that parameter into your ticket choice... On our side -- we are targeting to the area...
