Saturday 18th June
A whole week has passed since Jackamy was
lowered back to normality and in that week she has undergone a huge
transformation. We were lifted out of the water late on Saturday ready for us to
get cracking with the work.

Out the water
again
We worked 12 hour days over the
course of the week getting Jackamy back into shape and washing the Salalah dust
away. We all busied ourselves with jobs which included scraping off the
hundreds of little barnacles that we seemed to have gathered whilst sitting
in Salalah for three months, sanding the hull, scrubbing the decks and polishing
all over as well as other odd bits and bobs. We'd get comments each day as
people walked past and remarked on the transformation and although it was
tedious work there were great rewards when we could see the drastic difference
at the end of each day. And of course, we were on a tight timescale, Jack and
his girlfriend, and Paul's sister and parents were flying in to Crete on Sunday
to meet us. No pressure!
