Day 3 - En Route to Litchfield
When back on the road we were
amazed when a herd of wild horses ran across the road just in front of us, it
was fantastic! We also came across another termite mound which was double the
height of Amy!
We continuously pass these
'Road Trains' which can be 4 lorries in length!
Feeling like Kakadu was extremely
vast and all quite similar we decided to head to Litchfield National Park which
is said to be paradise, with year round swimming, cascading pools and
waterfalls. This all sounded too good to be true so we made the 4 hour journey
to find out.
For our third night we set up
camp at the Litchfield Tourist Park and within minutes the men took up their
usual positions whilst Annie built a fire.
Whilst sat outside the vans we
spotted wallaby's bouncing around in the field adjacent to the site. It was
fantastic!
