Tuesday 6th July
We arrived at Savu Savu in Fiji at around
09:00 this morning without a breath of wind. We managed to sail most of the way
but yesterday morning we had to resort to the engine, we couldn't take the
flapping of the sails anymore. So yesterday was one of the hottest days we have
had in a long time, the temperature seems to have rocketed and with no wind it's
even hotter!

Fiji
A gentlemen called Pio showed
us to our mooring buoy in the bay.......Our view now
The bay is very picturesque but we
haven't made it ashore yet. We're currently having visits from the health
inspector, quarantine and customs and immigration. There's lots of form filling
going on! They're asking Paul where our last 6 ports of call were and he hasn't
got a clue. He doesn't know where we've just come from, nevermind the last 6!
We've just had a radio call asking us to remove our yellow quarantine flag,
which we have to fly when we enter any new port, because the customs lady can't
step on board until it's down. How funny!

Today there are two momentus
occasions. One is that we are now in the Eastern part of the Southern
hemisphere, note our position at the top of the page. The other is that it is
mine and Pauls 25th Wedding Anniversary!
