A Sad Farewell!

17:03.98N 61:53.02W All this week we
have been saying goodbyes. First to Paul Blower who left on Tuesday. He has
been fantastic company who deserves a medal for putting up with 3 Harper's
for 4 weeks! He was a great help and will be greatly missed! Then slowly
throughout the week yacht's have been moving on to do their own thing, some we
will meet up with over Christmas others we won't see until the Panama canal and
some are staying in Antigua for a few years. We said a sad
goodbye to Motu Iti, my dance partner Howard, Bernd, Lars, Heinz and Tilo. We
have gotten to know them very well over the last week but sadly the boat will
be staying in Antigua and they’ll pick up the next Blue Water Rally in 2011. On Saturday it
was time for Amy to leave us. We had a BBQ on the beach with a few of the other
yachts then the Miss Tippy girls arrived back from a day out in St John’s just
in time to give her a big hug, what a lovely send off she had! Amy has made
quite an impression on a number of rallier’s, we look forward to her return on
the 10th Feb when she joins us for the Panama Canal transit along
with Jack. Yesterday was spent re-provisioning and cleaning. We’re leaving Jolly Harbour today and heading
north to Barbuda, anchoring a
couple of times on the way, before heading back down the east coast to Nelson’s
Dockyard in Antigua for Christmas. The Beach BBQ
