Day 4   Friday 13 th August.

There have been a few casualties again on this passage. Miss Tippy has ripped two sails, Fia Tira has engine failure and with very light winds they are almost stationary. They are being towed over 300 miles to Mackay by Blue Magic, also on the net this morning Aspen said they had low battery power and were unable to charge their batteries.

Just after the morning net the fishing line started screaming, we had caught a huge mahi mahi, it took us nearly an hour to land it; it was a whopper measuring one and a half meters. Paul isn't happy though as I told him he would have to throw it back, we aren't allowed to take any fresh or frozen meat, or fish into Australia as they have very strict quarantine laws. Luckily for the fish, he gets to live another day.
