Sunday 26th December
Paul and Amy dived at Koh Bida Nok, an
island just south of Phi Phi Le, whilst Jack and myself stood off with Jackamy
until they surfaced. Amy came up and thoroughly enjoyed the dive, as did the
others, but Paul wasn't too fussed. We think it may be due to the fact that he
couldn't see anything as his new goggles were fogged up! He didn't even notice
that there were other divers down there! Apparently the topography was beautiful
with lots of swim throughs and pinnacles and as they reached the south of the
islands the coral became more diverse and there were more reef
fish.
The pictures aren't very good as the camera
was on the wrong setting so I've only put a couple on. The pictures from
the second dive are a better quality.

After a spot of lunch Paul and
Amy took the dinghy just outside the entrance to the bay and a little further
north towards Phi Phi Don to do a second dive at Palong Wall. Amy said it was
one of her favourite dives and Paul was absolutely thrilled too, as they had a
very special moment with a turtle who was grazing on the top of a
pinnacle.
There were lots of puffer fish
and reef fish, this one even had a little cleaner fish
There were more urns and some
interesting clams
There were huge sea fans and
lots of this soft bubble coral
A clown fish was peeking out of
its anemone and a grouper was camouflaged with the surroundings
Amy followed a moral eel
swimming in and out of the coral
They saw around 6 turtles but
this one sat with them whilst it grazed on the coral
It even allowed you to stroke
it - very special!
So close......Face to
face
There were hundreds of fish
swimming in shoals in and around the coral
