Day 18,

I got hit in the head by a flying fish last night. Now my hat definitely stinks. The Pacific is a lot richer in nutrients than the Atlantic so the flying fish out here are a lot bigger as well.... It actually hurt.

And back in the washing machine. Reading through the logbook from the last 24 hours it's swell, light winds, high winds under clouds, then swell. Mostly from the side or the back quarter since yesterday so it is fairly rolly. On the other hand, it saves us thinking about fitness loss and such :D And getting really good at not spilling my midnight coffee.

Speaking of midnight, it is during the nights we can see how rich the sea is: the bio-luminesence is spectacular and the squid give these bursts of light so bright that you for a second think its another boat.

Being chased by a Chinese fishing boat right now.

Stephen trying out our spare dyneema halyard as a furling line as the old topping lift line is a bit stiff to pull in. Had to be done under engine as we are having to furl the jib. And there is a choppy swell so we need some forward motion ;D

All i swell.
