Decided to just call it that: day 1. It's always the same. No one really enjoys it (apart from possibly Nic, as she has discovered the miracles of Stugeron and that we will all enjoy the sail in the end and it will get better ;D). We have been in the lee of The Island Kingdom of Tonga for some of the time, but the big Pacific rollers are present. Today's collection of dishes for washing proves that eating or even just being downstairs is not a favorite. It was: 3 mugs and a spoon. So two had coffees and one had cereal out of a mug. Please refer to the blog from June re the Breakfast Scale ;D

We had some of last nights pizzas we got from the Deli in Neiafu, Vava'u before we left, so think dinner is sorted. Keeping the main in the bag as the wind is due to change more behind us possibly during the early hours of tomorrow. It's just easier. Still averaging 7 knots on a furled headsail!

It will get better.
