Skye Blue sailing

Hello,

first night watch done. Amazing stars and light winds. So light that we had to wake up Bertie to his shift at 0410. He was quite happy about that and has been humming away since. 1200 revs and a more and more calm sea means he can move Skye Blue at a fair pace.

Nielsen considering a repaint. Sweating away on the back there in his black jumper. So are the rest of us. Trying not to melt under the thick layer of white sunscreen! It is hot out here when the wind is this light. Even at night. Doris is lying sunbathing on the foredeck. Can't bear to tell her that the more sun, she gets, the whiter she gets.... And it ruins her skin - just like for the rest of us.

We had a great sail yesterday! Wind was steady mid F5, on the beam, swell not bad at all so flying along at 7-8 knots! A good start. Forecast from yesterday says this wind hole is more or less a 48 hour acquaintance, so getting a new forecast that will hopefully have made it a smaller and just a bit windier. Just a bit. Still on the Panama diesel, so not complaining, though! We have been using the sails a lot.

All is well.
