80 nm off the coast of North Island, New Zealand, and not going anywhere at any part of a knot.....

It is pure millpond here. Beautiful and very quiet apart from the occasional slamming of the main sail which we have reefed to 3 reefs to keep us from rolling even more than we do already in the swell that is still here under the glassy surface.

It's a contrast to just one and a half day ago.

Tried to get good old Bertie started again but no luck. So relying on wind only. Right now the forecast is for it to pick up to a F2-3 tomorrow, Monday, afternoon.

Lots of time to get jobs done, so we have! ;DD

Made a good dent in the NZ bio-security jobs today. Like trying to cook all the last bits of fresh fruit and veg we got in Tonga. Having green plantane and cheese bake tonight. With chicken, boiled sweet potatoes and a creamy porchini mushroom sauce. Had kept this bag of stunning dried porchinis for a special occasion. Guess that is today, as I am not having NZ Bio-security officers taking them off me to go in the bin! ;D

Nic has been cleaning all our shoes. We have far to many shoes....

Neil and Stephen on the engine job, Janet, Nic and I on the bilge cleaning jobs, sorting food in Dairy, Meats, Fruits and veg (don't actually know if tinned foods are an issue, but now it's done), gathering the rather pathetic stash in the bonded warehouse (that's Customs related - not bio-security Angel smile emoticon), cleaning cupboards and what have we. It's a good process and a great excuse for me to get some cleaning done ;D And Janet, Neil and Nic filling diesel from cans into the tanks (then the cans are easier to put back in the locker Open-mouthed smile emoticon) Thanks for your hard work today guys!

The weather has been amazing, the pressure is lying around 1024 and some of the crew even had a shower on deck! Mostly so we don't fail the bio-security check......

All other than Bertie are well.
