We have spent 9 days now in beautiful, friendly, welcoming Niue. It so happened that we came here during the Constitution celebrations. What a treat! Flaghoisting on Thursday 19th October, the national day of Niue, was celebrated with speeches, dancing, great food, beer and great company. Today we went to the national showday to see all sorts of competitions in basketweaving, spearthrowing, dancing, farm produce.....

Oh and Thursday we were right in the middle of the vaka race course so of course put our bunting up!

It will be sad to leave you, Niue, so will say till we see us again. You have been an amazing host - you are very special.

Today we set out towards The Kingdom of Tonga, Towards the northern group of islands, Vavau'u. About 250 nautical miles from here.
