So the whistle-stop tour continues, we left Rangiroa yesterday evening at 5pm (we had been there 7 hours) bound for Tahiti. A VERY pleasant night sail, with a big moon saw us make good progress and we arrived in Tahiti at 17.26 local time - 3,948 miles after leaving Galapagos (we are now over half way to New Zealand), with no cross words spoken and very few breakages (only the big pink kite springs to mind). We were met with an incredible sunset behind Moorea, and anchored in the moonlight. Matt and i of course then proceeded to do what all good sailors have done when making landfall through the centuries - go out on a bender.

Captain's corner:
I guess it is time for a little pat on each others backs for the trip across.. It really was "Happy Times" the whole way! I'm also very proud of how well the Cloud did, especially in as much as no major problems were incurred!
Our "bender" was a bit tamer than usual, it being a monday night and absolutely dead everywhere! The night finished with me playing few games of pool, with Jules pulling his usual end of night maneuver: falling asleep on a bar stool! Much more momentous was the fantastic meal we ate at the restaurant beside the marina... Mmmm, food Jules nor I cooked!
