OK, we are now on the seriously whistle-stop tour of the Pacific! Having left Manihi yesterday evening, we arrived at Rangiroa this morning (70 miles). The first passe had breaking swells - and yes i bottled out about 20 seconds before the point of no return - just as well because Matt had a quick chat with the local dive shop who suggested the other passe, which was a breeze.
Having had such help from the dive shop (Six Passengers) we felt compelled to book up a dive - through the passe that we had failed to navigate through! After a quick explore / swim / lunch.

The dive was incredible - fast current over the reef, which of course Matt decided to levitate over like Ali Baba.....

Captain's corner:

Who else thinks Jules should use this pic for his next CV??? Fantastic day, really felt like we were in another world, soaring over the reef and checking out the over 100 sharks down below!
I must admit, this time, we both bottled the pass, I'm still not sure whether we would have made it through unscathed, and amazed at what a difference a few hours can make to the conditions...
