We had a great day today! The most part of it was spent putting in the desal unit, and there's only about an hour or so left... Even the cables for the control panel that we thought were going to cause us problems... Went down smoothly! The fridge and stove are back in place, and I've even sort of moved back into my room (for the weekend). As we're going to be waiting in the morning for Yvon, the head engineer to pick up the generator from customs in the main town (Fort de France), it means he's given the engineers Sunday off... Monday the desal will be up and running before the generator even makes it to the boat... This is really helpful for us crew, as we've got a decent bit of tidying to get done before JUles, Rod and Crazy Al arrive. AS the days taick by, I"m definitely getting more and more excited to be going through the Canal... to the point where I'm barely even interested in the fact that my 30th is on Monday... Much more interested in htting the ABC's, and the San Blas, and then going through one of modern engineering's greatest marvels!.
I can't wait to be going through!
