A bit depressed about failing to get to our planned destination we decide to do something else.... go kayaking down the river at Papeeno...
Matt and i took the double - rented from the local kite-surfing school - which rapidly turned into a bath-tub.
After a heavy afternoon of running rapids and bumping over rocks - what better way to spend the evening than meet the locals....
who kindly invited us to stay for a few drinks and dinner!
The Polynesians really are incredibly hospitable!
