We awoke quite early given the efforts of the previous day, and decided to head straight for Nuku Hiva.
The pleasant sail gave us the opportunity to fresh water and scrub everything after our trip from Galapagos.
Its quite amazing how much weed grew along the hull, despite our 10 knot boatspeed!

Captain's corner:
It's about the most horrible looking picture I hope we ever post on this blog! I think Jules' is making sure no-one else will ever hire me... It was an absolutely gargantuan effort to get rid of all the growth, I just hope we got it all and it doesn't come back. After the boat scrub, we hit shore, and wandered down the road towards what we thought was the busier part of the village to find a restaurant and a cash point. We found the cash point, and continued down until we reluctantly realized we'd made it right past the end of town without seeing a single eatery. I decided to flag down the next car that passed and find out if there was a restaurant anywhere... As the car pulled up, I realized it was the Gendarmerie and we still hadn't checked in! They kindly told us wehre the only restaurant was (2.5 Km back just past where we landed the tender in the first place... The nice meal, bottle of wine, and after-dinner cocktails made the entire day worth it!
