Another happy day on the Cloud.
It was the day for making things today. Out came the sewing machine, material for the foredeck awning - and after almost an entire day of effort we have the base of a 4m x 8.5m foredeck awning! We even managed to christen it with a little beer at Happy Hour.

The prospect of us mending the big pink kite has now improved considerably! The quality of our crew clothes (we are each making the other something to wear for arrival) also now looks like it might be pretty high. A few more days of design required prior to starting i think!
The things you can do crossing the largest ocean on the planet continue to amaze me - anyway back to boxing and yoga tomorrow - especially as i fancy my chances of taking Matt out....

We also caught and lost a fish today...

Cuadrati dil capitano:
What a productive day... I can only echo Jules' pride in having gone a long way towards creating something entirely functional (and somewhat complicated) whilst underway. Although truth be told, we've a lot of little fiddly bits left to do before we can actually consider it an accomplishment!
It's funny how quickly memory fades: one day out from boxing and Jules reckons he's a contender... Might just have to start hitting him harder now that he's getting cocky! Look out for a couple of nice shiners come the next blog, it's about time Jules sports some lovely racoon eyes, and besides: if I do it today, his eyes should revert to normal before we hit shore!
On the fishing front, I'm furious with myself for being lazy and not gaffing the fish once it was alongside. I was convinced that after having dragged it a good couple of miles, it had no fight left in it. I'll get the next one though!
