Another day of hard work today. A little early morning Guitar chord practice was followed by Matt coming on watch and us getting the kite back up. A wonderful day of cruising along at 11 knots (and sometimes considerably more) was interspersed with the sound of the sewing machine as we got to work on the Mosquito nets. Matt's sticthing really is a lot better than mine - anyway eventually i turned my hand to our Sunday roast chicken - which was excellent (washed down with our first bottle of wine for over a week). The only near miss of the day was the kite downhaul wrapping itself around my neck as i struggled to get the kite down. Fortunately it was only wrapped around my hand at the moment it re-filled - launching me into the air!
I leave you with a nice photo of Happy Hour on the beach!

Captain's corner:
Very exciting sailing today, flying along we couldn't help but look behind us and wave goodbye to Elvis, it was disconcerting having an Oyster managing to be practically keeping up with us up until now... They had stronger winds and nicely off the beam as they were two days behind... Now we've decided to throw off the fetters and take off! Speaking of taking off, I had brief images of Jules' head departing from his body when the sock down-haul wrapped around him, fortunately his sailing instincts are still sharp, and he disentangled himself just in time! I'm having a great time playing with the sewing machine, and Jules is actually starting to stitch quite straight, and at a decent pace as well!
