What a great day today! The wind finally came around steady from the south and we spent the day sailing - yes, the motor was blissfully off for over 14hrs!!! Suddenly life aboard was fantastic again. Jenny spent the day going through half a dozen cook books and is now prepared to feed us in style during our stay in Darwin's islands. Rod and I took apart the Morse controllers, and I am proud to say we now can select gears on our starboard engine without me climbing into the compartment each time! We also managed a fuel transfer and Rod siliconed up the last bits for the shower shelves. If only we could have another two days like today to finish up our journey. I must admit, while doing the fuel transfer, I came across the second of two stray cans of beer (yesterday I found one which had corroded and gone to waste). There was only one solution: I drank it (after announcing happy hour in honour of Julian, who's presence is sorely missed as a source of good cheer aboard. Other events include the loss of a great big fish, Noel holding down a healthy amount of food, and the gps claiming we're under 48hrs away (it's now saying 87hr 44mins again, as the wind has become contrary again). Anyhoo, all is happy and shipshape aboard El Nube Volante!
