We needed to stay on Port tack due to a forecast windshift, but for all the nights (and this mornings) work we are NO CLOSER to NZ! AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHH
So i cooked brunch in disgust.
At 3.30pm we tacked over on to Starboard - and prayed for the windshift.
No sooner had it come, than the wind strengthened to 30 knots, and the jib's clew fitting blew out.
Immediately we were bck to making very slow progress to NZ.
But Matt was soon at work with drill (to make holes for thread), needle and thread - repairing the sail.
