Tuesday is Tatoo day.... after several days of planning and design discussion - including drawing on ourselves / each other on Sunday and Monday - our appointment with James Samuela, a specialist in traditional Tatoo, had come.

At 10am it started. Having shown James my drawing he was soon drawing on me - sharks teeth, waves and the ocean. All to represent a love of the sea and its power.

Yes its modestly painful. Particularly filling in the block colours. But the excellent Vodka Litchie juice helped enormously!

The finished product (nearly 3 hours later) was fantastic - better than i had imagined - and now i don't know how i lived without one before!

So then we went for lunch before part II.....

Had a long boozie lunch to make up my mind weather i would go through with it or not, i felt alot better after seeing Jules calm faced throughout the whole thing with the odd wince here and there. First of all i nearly fainted when he was just drawing the design and had to lie down and drink some water before finishing the drawing, i then spent the whole time screaming and cursing which James's children found very amusing giggling in the corner. I had me fingers pressed firmly in my ears and my eyes shut tight, out of sight out of mind, hhmmmm

So relieved after it was finished! and mum, its not actually that big, its the camera angle.

After all the pain and distress i was over the moon with it, i love it!

Ok, so I couldn't be left out so decided to have a small discreet bracelet on my left wrist with a butterfly for Ella a turtle for Daisy and a Tahitian Tiare flower in the middle. Jenny's description of the feeling of someone slicing your skin with a scalpel was fairly accurate......only glad i had a small one. Of course the girls immediately wanted to have one too......just joking....

Jenny wouldn't let me hold her hand when she had hers done because she either had her fingers in her ears so she couldn't hear the machine or she was laughing at James' little boy Delshan who kept pulling faces at her (actually they were pulling faces at each other). Anyhow I'm sorry Jenny about the nail marks on your hand....And I've had two children....let me tell you.....it makes no difference.....
