Had a pretty good day today,
And an excellent finish: The engineers doing our desal and generator kidnapped me at around half seven, took me to there place and fed me a fantastic dinner... Patricia, who runs the office, and is a mother noticed that look in my eye that said Jenny was gone and I've been eating bachelor meals; decided to take pity on me.
Other than discussing our various boat issues while swimming around in their pool, I managed to make some nice mounts for the new kayak, work with my sparky and get bilge pumps up and running in the rudder lockers, and sort out the ones in the engine rooms. Along with that, the UW generator is now mounted up and ready to go, and the sliding door stop is refitted. It's hard to figure out quite where the rest of the day went, as I started at 6 this morning, but all the little teeny jobs like making up bungee cords to tie the kayak down, fixing the knife holder in the cockpit, etc... Seem to have added up!
All I know is that I'll sleep well tonight.
