Up with the lark (small hangover) for a day of cleaning, and admin. All remarkably satisfying considering its my last day / night on the Cloud for 10 days! Anyway, i fly home tomorrow to pick up the main crew before we continue our journey through the Pacific in Cook's footsteps.....

Captain's corner:
Surprisingly productive day today, up at 7am washing the boat down, slight hitch when with soap all over everywhere we ran out of water! (port tank guage seems a little sticky on the full reading! After that we pulled into the marina, with a prime position right in front of the restaurant, fantastic! It took a while to get us settled in just right, the Marina admitted that embarrassingly, they'd run out of lines and would need us to provide our own lines to the sunken moorings (we're stern-to, med style). This meant once we'd shown up, dropped our hook and gotten our stern lines on, we then had to chill out while the diver took our lines down to the sea bottom and tied us off... Definitely a first for me! We finished with settling in (paserelle, water from shore, electricity) and then went and visited our agents... When I called, they directed us to the capitanerie saying their offices were there: In fact, they run the Marina, the travel agents, the everything here! No wonder they had no trouble finding us a spot on short notice! We then rewarded ourselves with a fabulous lunch, which after a lovely bottle of Rose meant we needed a little down time... Got up again at 4:30, sent Jules up the mast for a rig check (all passed), and dismantled our steering rams to get some bushings made tomorrow morning. We then finished the day off by taking the tender out to the reef, cracked a few beers and had a swim while watching the sunset... Happy happy, Joy joy!
