Today a sunny morning dawned in Deshaies, so we upped anchor and headed 8 miles down the coast to Pigeon Island for some snorkeling and lunch. The guide books suggested it was a great dive / snorkel spot - despite a strong wind and a bit of swell they weren't wrong. Team Flying Cloud took to the water at around 11am and Ella and Daisy managed a full 45 minute session - quite remarkable really.

Daisy loved the "fishies" whilst Ella got very excited about using her flippers. During one of Jenny's deep photo dives the excellent underwater Olympus finally packed up - so that the end of the cool water based photos for this trip. However Joan is going to have to get out her Nikon next.

I loved the shot of Daisy and Matt above......

After lunch we upped anchor and set off on a 2.5 hour sail for Isle des Saintes. As the wind was rather strong we reefed at Point du Vieux Fort - however the race off of teh point was very bumpy and was not enjoyed by the crew, and our arrival in the beautiful Saintes was very welcome.
