Flying Cloud

We took the decision today on the Cloud to rename the days of the week. Therefore Monday immediately became known as Sunday - the day of rest.
Given all of our activities yesterday it seemed totally appropriate.
For me the day started with a survey of the decks shortly after dawn broke. I counted and removed nearly 20 flying squid, and 11 Flying Fish.

I decided not to cook them for breakfast, given that i couldn't find any instructions in the manual that Jenny kindly left behind.
Anyway, shortly after that i began to survey the rest of the boat only to discover - to my horror - that the Genneker top seam had started to part. AGGGGGGHHHHHHHH my nice new Cuben Fiber sail ruined!
Matt and i quickly swapped the sail for our nice PINK asymmetric spinnaker, and began blast reaching at 10-16 knots. The smile on my face went on for the several hours that i helmed - excellent sailing - I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT.

The speed continued for the rest of the day, and we are now comfortably achieving 200 mile days, restoring some of our damaged pride following the rather slow circumnavigation of Isabela island on the Galapagos.
As its been a Sunday today there has been no Yoga or other physical exertion (other than sailing the boat!).
However, Happy Hour has returned to the Cloud, and as we speak i am finishing a rather deliciously cold G&T and singing to Sister Sledge's classic "we are family". Never a truer slogan for the Happy Crew of the the Cloud.

Roku dla Kapitan:
Za jebiscie dzien dzieszaj! Tak fajnie pogode, szypcie plywamy, i tilko mamy jescie pietnascie dzien potem dla wyspie Tuoamotu... Who could ask for anything more? Julian's got three pots going on the hob, and an air of complete control over the food he's cooking... I can't wait for dinner: More of Yesterday's fresh Dorado, along with some fried noodles and veg. Jules failed to mention that although it was officially a day of rest, he did learn how to change the pre- filter on our watermaker, and how to start the Genset (in it's present condition, as in until we get the new electronics board which should hopefully be arriving in London soon). He's turning into a regular handyman, and hopefully will soon be ready for the proposed job-swap between he and I!
We've got our baby Genneker up now, as we decided to put the brakes on a bit to keep the night a little more under control, so we're down to a steady 9-10 knots in 18 apparent... Smooth sailing! We also heard from Elvis today, and they're only 400 Miles behind us despite giving us a 3 day headstart... A the joys of detouring North around Isabella to cross the Equator!
"We are a familly, I got all my brothers here with me..."!!!
