Oh what a perfect day, i'm glad i spent it with you.......

Sunday, the day of rest.... and after 2 days of diving and a party or two it was time to relax. NOT.

Our Saturday night out with the excellent Patricia meant that we had been introduced to more wonderful but crazy people and at 1am on Sunday morning i found myself agreeing (not just agreeing, but excitedly jumping for joy at the prospect of) to go surfing on Sunday afternoon. Diego and Roberto were kind enough to want to take us, and said they would organise everything (boat, boards etc). What are the chances of meeting someone at 1am in the UK and them fulfilling a promise - to be honest at midday on Sunday i was skeptical, but we got ourselves together anyway and of course it was just as well as Diego and Roberto appeared as promised and on time.
We took the boat around to Tortuga Bay and after a few lessons on the beach etc off we went.
It was brilliant! And for 2.5 hours we tried tirelessly to get up and stay up....... i was definitely not the best, but i felt i made progress.
No photos though - bum!

Back to the boat and i discovered that Elvis had not yet arrived in Puerto Ayora. Which was unfortunate as i had booked a table for 11 at a very special restaurant in the highlands, which only opens on special request.
Not to fear, Patricia was there. Within half and hour Patricia had rescued a certain disaster by inviting a bunch of her friends.... what a fantastic night.

Thank you Edouardo and Eveline who own and run the restaurant.
Thank you (from top left clockwise) Paula, Diego, Matt, Patricia, Eduardo, Jenny, Eveline, Alison, Bicho, Hulian, and Julian) for such a great night - food, wine and company!

Thank you also Hulian for being such a great sport and agreeing to swap shirts on the night of Ecuador's win against Peru!

I think the cycadelic short suited Hulian very well.
