Finally after 3 pleasant days at Shelter Bay we are booked to transit the canal tomorrow.
Jenny and I spent yesterday and today "provisioning" (shopping) in Panama City, whilst Matt, Rod and Noel have been busy on all sorts of mechanical jobs.
Elvis arrived very early this morning so we have also done a bit of catching up.
Whilst waiting to cross the canal to get back to the boat from Panama today we had a quick "pre-look" at the canal and went to the visitors centre. It is truly amazing - amongst the many amazing statistics i still can't get over the fact that the canal is 108ft wide, with transiting ships 106ft wide, held off the lock walls by trains that help the boats maintain their positions.
Anyway, proper photo's tomorrow!!
