Landfall in the Caribbean

Our landfall in the Caribbean was on the island of St Martin. This is a
small island shared between France and
The Netherlands. We checked in on the French side of the island at
the delightful town of Marigot.
![]() The local fresh food markets were a wonderful sight after our time at
sea. We are really enjoying the
inexpensive and plentiful lobsters!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We entered the lagoon through the French Bridge. Once inside the lagoon you can move freely between both sides of the island with no need to
show passports.
![]() Lagoonies was the cruisers gathering spot for sundowners and internet connection. ![]() ![]() Another gathering spot was at the yaght club near the Dutch Bridge. This is the wider bridge and the mega yacht squeezed through the bribge at opening time to the cheers of the crowds that stood by to watch. ![]() ![]() The fishing party got a cheer too.
