After the Gulf of Corinth we entered the Gulf of
Patros and then moved onto the Ionian islands.
The new bridge which crosses the gap between
the two gulfs
The low lying entrance to the town of Missalonghi
reminded us of Asia
Our first Ionian island was
Cephalonia. We took a boat trip in the
underwater Melissani Cave...
...and admired the rock formations and play of
light on the cave walls.
Modern windmills on the hill
but the older style has real character
Tasting the Robola wines of Cephalonia. Mentioned
in a James Bond movie
Yachts lined up leaving Levkas
The floating bridge that connects to the mainland
and swivels to let yachts through.
Vonisa town with a Venetian castle as a back
drop
A beautiful anchorage at Lakka on
Paxoi
Gaios Harbour on Paxoi
