siren
Seaplane taking departing guests from Koh Racha Yai resort
Longtails at Kata Beach
Lunch at the Boathouse resort Kata Beach
Similan Islands, Koh Miang... a wonderful place to dive and snorkel.
Lots of dive boats coming
and going as the Similans are ranked in the world's top 10 diving
locations. We had Christmas
here.
Sunset with the moon already up, Koh Miang
Pirate ship at Koh Miang. Actually a hugely expensive charter boat
built by hand in Indonesia by
an American woman. There are six suites on board which would rival
any five star hotel
Rocks at Koh Miang
Close encounter with a turtle at Koh Similan
The turtle gets away...no turtle soup tonight
Burmese fishing boats at Koh Surin (looking a bit glum?)
Thai fishing boats
Anchorage at Koh Surin. We were the lone yacht.
Coming ashore at Koh Surin
Sea Gypsies at Koh Surin (asking for Coca Cola and diesel, getting a can of
curry chicken and some rice)
Caught our first fish on the way back to Phuket!!! You can judge the
size from the green lure
in its mouth which is 4-5 inches long. Unfortunately, as we were
lifting it aboard, it got of the hook
and left hurriedly. Oh well.
Christmas decorations, Patong shopping centre
New Years Eve fireworks on Patong Beach
Phang Nga Bay. Sandra taking Graham and Marianne to explore a hong
(which is the colllapsed
interior of an island, often only accessible through a cave
Fishermans Village, Phang Nga Bay
The restaurants at Fishermans Village - a couple of thousand vistors come
each day from Phuket
Our lunch spot where we can see the boat
Main street
Back street
View up the river.
Our guests ready to depart for the airport.
