April 2008 - Suez Canal to Israel

In April we left Abu Tig marina and did a 30 hour passage to Port
Suez. We arrived in Port Suez on the 6th. of April and spent 2 days
on a mooring while we waited to enter the canal. The transit took
another 2 days with an overnight stop at Ismaliya. When we reached Port
Said late in the afternoon of the second day, we dropped the pilot and kept
going, arriving in Tel Aviv the following afternoon, the 10th. of April..

least 30 pontoon bridges along the canal.
Guard post...there were armed sentries at least every 500 metres.
