We have had a good time in Egypt, taking the opportunity to do
some travel to see the sights which included Cairo and the pyramids,
Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, Karnak temple, a 4 day Nile riverboat
trip from Luxor to Aswan, and the temples at Abu Simbel.
There are many tourists and security is tight. Abu Tig
Marina, where we are now, is at El Gouna, a large resort area.

Entering Egypt at Port Ghalib. Port Ghalib is being built by a very
rich Kuwaiti and he is spending hundreds of millions of dollars.
In Stage 1, he has built an airport, power station, desalination plant, one
5 star and four 4 star hotels, a marina, and a complex of
condiminiums and shops. Stage 2 includes a golf course and expanding
the marina from 300 to 1,000 berths. There is also
a stage 3 planned!
Standing on (what will be) the golf course to take this photo.
