 With our time in Morocco drawing to a close, we had one more excursion 
across the river 
to Rabat on the local ferry service. 
![]() ![]() ![]() We went to a carpet exhibition.  Experts can identify the origin of 
carpets by their design, whether 
they are from a town or city, of from the country or the mountains.  
They can even identify the tribe 
the weaver belongs to, as they traditional designs which don't change 
much..

![]() We also visited Chellah, which has the remains of a Roman colony, as 
well 
as the nests of over 200 storks.  Later, it became a walled palace for 
the local king.
