With our time in Morocco drawing to a close, we had one more excursion
across the river
to Rabat on the local ferry service.
We went to a carpet exhibition. Experts can identify the origin of
carpets by their design, whether
they are from a town or city, of from the country or the mountains.
They can even identify the tribe
the weaver belongs to, as they traditional designs which don't change
much..

We also visited Chellah, which has the remains of a Roman colony, as
well
as the nests of over 200 storks. Later, it became a walled palace for
the local king.
In the foreground are the Roman ruins.
Next stop, the Canary Islands.
