After leaving Venice we went south through Croatia before crossing
the Adriatic to Southern
Italy
The Kornati Islands are a National Park...very bare of
vegetation and with crystal clear waters
The one below has a Venetian castle on the hill.

The islands are long and narrow and in the past people have built stone
walls right across them

The Roman amphitheatre in the city of Pula

James Joyce spent some time in Pula writing 'Ulysses'. This is a
stature of him at his
favourite cafe

The cathedral at Porec, famous for its mosaics

Rovinj, with the old town on a promontory

Croation lighthouses are built to last

Kominca on the island of VIs

A flotilla of over 40 boats arrived for the night. 30 or so rafted up
together...fortunately a quiet
and windless night!

Blue Grotto on an island near Vis
