 After leaving Venice we went south through Croatia before crossing the Adriatic to Southern
Italy
 
The Kornati Islands are a National  Park...very bare of vegetation and with crystal clear waters
The one below has a Venetian castle on  the hill. 
 
 
The islands are long and narrow and in the past people have built stone walls right across them
 
 
 
The Roman amphitheatre in the city of Pula
 
 
 
 
 
James Joyce spent some time in Pula writing 'Ulysses'.  This is a stature of him at his
favourite cafe

A flotilla of over 40 boats arrived for the night.  30 or so rafted up together...fortunately a quiet
