Sandra went by train to Casablance with some friends, while I stayed and did boat jobs.
Casablance is an hour south of Rabat by train, and is Morocco's largest city.

The main tourist drawcard is the Hassan II mosque.  Designed by a French architect, it was completed
in 1993 and is the largest mosque outside Saudi Arabia, accommodating 25,000 inside and 80,000 in
the square outside.

The minaret is 210 metres tall, and has a laser light beam pointing towards Mecca.

It is built over the sea.

An opening roof.

Security guard.

Immediately outside the lavish mosque is a slum.  Casablance attracts hundreds of thousands of
impoverished country people.

The second drawcard is Rick's Cafe, which commemorates the 1940s movie "Casablanca" which
starred Humphrey Bogart ('play it again, Sam') and Ingrid Bergman
