There are something like 500 riverboats plying the Nile between Luxor and Aswan.  This
was the one we went on, the Nile Commodore.

Part of Luxor Temple was used as an early Christian church, hence
the frescos of the apostles.

Abu Simbel.  Both temples were removed from the hillside
and rebuilt metres higher up to protect them from the
rising waters of Lake Nasser after the Aswan High Dam was completed.
