We visited the World Heritage listed Mulu caves and stayed at the National Park Headquarters in beautiful grounds.  There is no road in, but the flight from Miri is only 20 minutes.

If you go to Sarawak, you must visit Mulu.

Crossing the bridge to enter the National Park

The entrance to Deer Cave, one of the worlds largest caves

About 20 million bats live in Deer Cave and every evening there is a 2 hour exodus as they leave to feed, returning before dawn

Going up the river to visit more caves

Longhouse where the local nomadic people now live permanently.

Sandra swimming in the pool created by the river as it comes out of the cave

On the 480 metre canopy walk
