Dubrovnik lived up to all expectations...including being thronged with tourists.  It was a
wonderful experience to walk through an intact medieval town.

This was our first stop in Croatia and on our way round to customs and immigration at the
nearby port of Gruz, we motored slowly around the walls.

Later, we anchored at a nearby island and took a ferry into the town.

This is the main street.

A cafe on the rocks outside the walls.  Sandra had a swim here and I had a beer and
took in the view.

The old drinking water fountain, still in popular use today

The cathedral

We walked around the walls, which are continuous, you can circle the  city  without  having
to go down to ground level.
