So, we are sat in Trellis Bay, Tortola, waiting for Sarah and Dan to arrive. Nothing unusual in that, except that we have been waiting since yesterday.

Their flight from the UK was delayed by 4.5 hours, which meant that they missed their connection in Barbados yesterday evening. Four hours had been allowed which should have been ample in such a tiny airport, but not with such a big delay arriving.

The Liat website says that all flights out of Barbados are booked up until the 11th Jan, which is only a couple of days before they would be going home so not ideal to say the least.

They got accommodation for the night and were told to be back at the airport at 7am for a flight to Antigua, where they would then catch a flight to Tortola. That first flight was cancelled but they were still put on the second flight to Antigua. Obviously they missed their connection in Antigua. Plan 'C/D' is to get a flight from Antigua to St Martin where they can get a connection to another flight to Tortola. We have no idea where they are up to as this minute as we think Sarah's phone is probably flat, but we hope they are on their way to St Martin and that the Tortola flight isn't cancelled! If all goes well they will be here almost exactly 24 hours late having spent 32 hours in airplanes and airports and 8 hours in a hotel. We will see......

Then there's the small matter of the luggage. They haven't seen that since Barbados and the chances of seeing again today are growing increasingly slim. We will see .......
