​From Provincetown we made our way through the Cape Cod canal back to Newport. We wanted to make an update to our quite sophisticated on board power systems and we had tracked down 'The Man' for the job to here. He cam on board, updated our software, made a few tweaks and gave us a bit of advice and we left much better for it.

Alia Vita uses Lithium-ion batteries for her on board power which is still a relatively new technology on boats. The system was massively expensive when first installed (by her original owner not us I hasten to add) but improvements have subsequently been made to how it all works, We also identified a few errors in the original installation which adversely affected the efficiency, but all good now.​
