Boat preparations have been ongoing for most of our time in Gran Canaria. We have checked, double checked, tweaked and added more equipment whilst here. It's never a dull moment, especially when the mast has to be climbed. No matter how many times I do it, and I have been up 4 times in the last two weeks, I still struggle to let go with both hands which is what you need to do to use tools effectively. Hopefully the improvements we have made up there mean I wont need to go up at sea. The mast head is 23.5m (77feet) and not for the faint hearted.
