Simpson Bay Marina, St Martins.

I have now re-joined the boat and having listened to Ian, Andy and Christian, they seem to have had a very pleasant week, marred only by the last day when they returned to Simpson Bay.

During the week, they visited:

Norman Island 18 19N,64 36W

Jost Van Dyke 18 26N,64 45.4W

Tortola 18 24N, 64 36W

Virgin Gorda 18 25.5N, 64.1 W

Anguella 18 13.4N, 63 22.0 W

and back to St Martins.

It seems that the highlight was a bar where the dress code was very casual. In fact, it was birthday suits only!

The problems started when Sea Spray entered Simpson Bay and the steering locked up completely. They did well to get the boat onto a berth in the marina assisted by the marina rib. Ian and Andy have managed to fix the problem but now the batteries are not charging and so we are waiting for an electrician on Monday to see what the problem is.

We are now considering all options open to us as these problems are not leaving us and time is marching on. Next week will mark eight months since we left Pwllheli and that seems a long time ago now!
