Position 30 08N, 15 52W, Ilhas Selvagens Grande. We are now moored off this
tiny island nature reserve in the atlantic and we have a permit to visit it
tomorrow morning before continuing our journey to the Canary Islands, starting
off with Lanzarote and working westwards towards Tenerife, where we will meet
friends and partners over the next few weeks.
The journey continues with ups and downs. The auto pilot is again playing
up and Ian had an accident with the boom last night. Fortunately, there was no
damage to the boom and we were able to continue with the trip. The ups included
a marvelous sail ‘goose-winged’ for over eight hours averaging over seven knots
with main and yankee only, and a bottle of the beer at the mooring that we were
gifted in Bayona. Thanks Andreas.
A happy birthday to Louise and Pete from the crew of Sea
Spray. |
